With tears of grief mixed with consolation we announce that Charles Solomon ended his earthly pilgrimage on November 22nd. At 90 years of age, with diminishing strength and abilities due to Parkinson’s, Chuck went to sleep in his chair that night and woke up in glory. Prayers are appreciated for his children–Ron, Cathy and Susan–and the extended Solomon and Grace Fellowship International families. “…We are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:6-8).

Cathy posted this notice: “My wonderful, sweet, and loving father, Charles Solomon, passed away this evening. He lost his battle with Parkinson’s, but won eternity in Heaven! I wish I could have seen his face when he saw Jesus and Mom. You are already missed but rejoicing that you are Home and healed! ‘Love you so much!”

Update 12/15/2020: A viewing was held on December 6th at Atchley’s in Sevierville, TN.  The family had a private committal service in Newport, TN on December 9th.  A Celebration of Life service will be hosted by First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge on Sunday afternoon, January 17, 2021 at 2:00pm. The service should be live streamed on the internet and/or recorded: www.ForgeChurch.tv . Your prayers and sympathy are appreciated.

Dr. Solomon’s first book, Handbook to Happiness is a best seller and summarizes his ministry’s focus on how to find freedom and victory in Christ. Many other books and pamphlets followed including 5 volumes of poetry.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years: Selma (Sue) Vivian Solomon (Ragan), his parents: Charles and Ruth Solomon, and two sisters: Carolyn Baxter and Camilla Hurst.
