Dr. Phil Jones serves as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Powell, TN. The church identifies this content as T.E.L.L. — “Teaching Exchanged Life Living.” Missionary Hudson Taylor coined the term “Exchanged Life” as a description of Abiding in Christ wholeheartedly, appropriating the fuller potential of living out of one’s identification with Christ (John 15:1-8; Rom. 6:3-14; Gal. 2:20).
Pastor Jones wrote this curriculum as an evangelism and foundational discipleship tool. It is an excellent resource to validate and encourage candidates for church membership–“assimilation”. Many other ministry contexts are also ideal to use this process/Bible study booklet: one-to-one discipleship, small groups, prison ministry, short term mission trip preparation, etc..
This leaders kit includes a Teacher’s edition of this study, and 10 MP3 audio messages by Dr. Jones that explain the concepts in detail. The student version is published by GFI under the title How to Exchange your Life for a New One. Our free, introductory online course walks one through the student booklet.
Dr. Jones gives an overview of the TELL principles in this TELL video lecture in the Solomon School Lecture Series.
