Ministry Review for 2025

Grace Fellowship International

We are grateful for another fruitful ministry year—the 55th for GFI. Here’s a brief review.

We conducted 3 local seminars, plus Mark McKeehan’s in Alabama and mine in Virginia.

International mission trips included mine to Cairo, Egypt in March, and Mark & Carrie’s to Cape Town, South Africa in November.

We conducted 3 in-person Exchanged Life Counseling Workshops locally and I conducted 1 online in the fall.

Nine months of the year I facilitated the Monday night zoom Bible study. The text and videos of What is Man? (T. Austin-Sparks), and Victory in Christ (by Charles Trumbull) are available online for continued use.

I grouped the dozen books and free online video sets that we offer in a new web page so they are easier to locate (under Resources / Book and Video Combos) gracefellowshipinternational.com/book-and-video-combos/

Three more certified ladies joined us as official counseling Guides: Heidi Hanssen (AZ), Donna Kruse (VA), and Lisa Hummel (SC), which brings our total to 13 (not including the Life Coaches whom Mark oversees).

We had Luther Rice Seminary students in our workshops again last year as they opted for GFI’s track for their required practicum. (The zoom meeting Mark and I had with three of the Luther Rice leaders was encouraging.)

Stats

  • GFI staff and Guides conducted 1,514 counseling sessions.
  • Mark and Liz served as chaplains for soccer teams at Johnson University.
  • Mark and I conducted over 300 consulting/coaching sessions (some in-person, most by phone or zoom)
  • I had 5 chaplaincy related events (including the GFI exhibit with Liz at Dollywood’s Wellness Expo)

For 2026

I have a Finding Freedom seminar scheduled for St Louis for Saturday, March 28th and a Finding Peace seminar in Bellefontaine, Ohio April 25th.

We are planning a 12 session audio demonstration of Linda Gammon doing Discipleship sessions using her Life in Christ: A Personalized Discipleship Notebook (that GFI published). This will hopefully be a training resource that promotes the sale and use of the Notebook book and Discipler’s Guide editions.

We rejoice in the Lord and are grateful for our prayer and financial support partners!

Yours in Christ,

John Woodward
Director of Counseling and Training
