Tools for strategic grace discipling
- How to Exchange Your Life for a New One (Dr. Phil Jones – FBCPowell.org)
Part of the Teaching Exchanged Life Living curriculum (TELL), this booklet is a valuable tool to welcome church visitors and give a foundation for spiritual growth. The first lesson uses five tests from 1 John to verify if a person is truly a Spirit-indwelt believer. Also, five of the 10 Commandments are explained in order to bring conviction and demonstrate the vital need for salvation. The next four lessons give a concise introduction to assurance, our new identity in Christ, full surrender, and spiritual warfare. Rather than “rubber stamping” new members, use the opportunity to offer a relational, grace discipleship orientation! A Teachers Edition and audio training CD are also available. A free, introductory level online course walks you through this booklet.
- For Me to Live is Christ (Dr. Charles Solomon)
This eight lesson inductive Bible study explains the deeper message of the cross (Galatians 2:20) in the context of strategic soul care. It is a fill-in-the-blank companion to the author’s popular Handbook to Happiness (Tyndale). A DVD album for the workbook features a 30 minute video instruction corresponding to each lesson. (Teacher’s Guide, answer key, and promotional materials are included.) Excellent resource for small groups, classes, and personal study. An audit level course on this book is available online.
- Grace Discipleship Course volumes 1,2 (Dr. Lee Turner)
This 12 lesson workbook begins with the wheel and line diagrams (Handbook to Happiness) and builds on that Galatians 2:20 foundation with a precept-upon-precept approach to personal spiritual growth. The Advanced Grace Discipleship Course continues with an additional 12 topics with the same inductive bible study format. Designed for small groups, classes, and one-to-one mentoring.

A Church wide emphasis: 8 Sunday Church Advance
Advance
A church-based 50 day emphasis on Christ-centered spiritual growth
Purpose
To encourage and educate the church members to learn and appropriate their identification with Christ in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension.
Design
Eight Sundays (and the fifty day period) are set apart for deeper life teaching through coordinated Sunday sermons, small group/adult Sunday School studies, and individual devotional reading.
Need
The identification truths (Rom. 6:1-4; Gal. 2:20; Eph. 2:-7; Col. 1:27; 3:1-4) are vital to victorious Christian living and fruitful ministry. One of the most respected daily devotionals, Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest, was written from this perspective. Yet, most have never come to grasp the full significance of their spiritual union with Christ. This “meat” of the Word (Heb. 5:13,14) needs to be shared clearly. The GFI materials put this revelation into a step-by-step process to encourage dynamic discipleship and Christ-centered soul care.
Features of 50 Day Advance
- Sunday sermons emphasize abundant living through personal identification with Christ.
- Small group or Sunday School leaders are equipped to reinforce the preaching themes through an eight week curriculum (For Me to Live is Christ, or The New Life). Use of DVD album is recommended.
- Encouraging the use of daily devotional readings through an email series or selected book (such as Ian Thomas’ The Indwelling Life of Christ).
- Option to host a Grace Fellowship International seminar to launch or conclude the Advance.
- Grace Fellowship International provides coaching and resources.
