“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6,7

May 4th was designated National Day of Prayer. Our nation is in such desperate need of prayer! God’s promise to Israel is relevant to our wayward country: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14). God judges nations in history. We see this throughout the centuries, from the global flood of Noah’s day, the 10 Plagues upon Egypt, God’s discipline of Israel, Jonah’s message to Nineveh, … down to these last days. God has blessed our nation through His grace due to our Christian heritage, but in recent decades our country has sown secular humanism and is reaping the consequences! May we be salt and light through Christ’s Life in and through us.

We congratulate those who have completed their Exchanged Life Certification trough GFI, including Mark McKeehan (our Executive Director) and Janet Stone. Janet is a health advocate who lives in Colorado. Her testimony will be posted at ELCmatters.org.

On April 25th, Cherri Freeman presented a webinar on Recovery Ministry: Definitions and Solutions. She gives a more precise, counter-cultural definition of addiction and addresses physical, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects of this bondage. The video recording is at GFI’s YouTube channel. (See the linked icon in the upper right corner of GFI website’s home page.)

The 9th episode of the Glimpses of Grace podcast has been published. We are so glad that the word is spreading about this online audio teaching resource that we produce twice per month.

Mark and his wife, Carrie, were the featured speakers at a marriage enrichment retreat in Gatlinburg May 4-6. There is such a need for marital encouragement and counsel with an Exchanged Life perspective!

We would appreciate prayer for a pastors conference being planned for Cameroon, Africa in August. Over 1,000 are expected to attend and GFI has been invited to give the main teaching sessions.

We greatly appreciate all who support GFI through prayer and giving!
